WHAT TO EXPECT

Many of my clients have shared that they did not know what to expect when contacting or hiring a designer. Personally, I try to remain flexible but helpful. The main reason I charge an hourly rate is because every project is unique. So, I have outlined an example of what typically transpires with a majority of my new clients:
1. Getting to Know You: We will get together for about 1 hour at your home or workplace. I’ll take some photos and measurements of your space. Then I’ll ask some questions to help me understand your wants and needs. We’ll also go over the details of how we will work together.
2. Creative Planning: I will draft ideas and suggestions based on your needs. It could be furniture layouts, paint color selections, flooring, lighting, window treatments, art/accessories or starting discussions with contractors. This typically takes 1-5 hours depending on the scope of the project.
3. “Menu” Options: We’ll get back together (usually at clients home) for ½ - 1 hour to review what I call the "menu". Inspirational photos, selections and layouts will be provided which outline what we want to accomplish with estimates on costs.

4. Your Personal Plan: You now have a personalized plan or "menu"where you can decide what you want to accomplish, your timeline, and level of involvement. Then the fun begins!
5. I Can Shop for You or With You: I have access to lots of fun, traditional or trendy pieces from Furniture, Lighting and Accessory Markets that break away from the cookie-cutter looks that others may have. Customers tell me they appreciate the high quality, unique pieces that provide them with so many options.
